To help keep spammers/fake accounts out of Dubsnorth, the most recent version of PHPBB (the software for the forums) has pre- and now post-registration checks.

When you register, you have the typical questions that a spam bot would not be able to answer.

New to the latest version, when a "new user" (someone with fewer than 10 posts) posts to the forums, it requires an Admin (me/Rabbit Farmer, Chris/vtGTI, or Tim/MX Driver) to approve the post. I believe that the general user (youse guys) cannot see the post until we approve it.

Another step to try to keep scumbuckets out of our Volkswagen/Audi community here on Dubsnorth.

Steve

How long does it take to be approved? Do I need to say a secret VT type password saying like " Flatlanders Go Home" or " I remember when the Umall had a Wendy's and Papa Ginos" to prove I am human and local?
