This thread is to support ideas for activities... So far i've heard:
-The tire change competition (self explanatory)
-Denver Trivia. (Denver asks the spectators random questions about vw's history, and/or random things... win last years t-shirts and other small prizes).

Other activities:
-Inflatable ball castle
-Face Painting
-GT5 or Forza 3 "station" (might be cool to get 2 to have competitive racing for a couple hours or something, then open it up to single races for people to try for the best score)... I saw something similar at another car show that looked like Top Gear where they had a metal stand and would put peoples names and times down on magnetic strips... it looked pretty sweet... could be a reoccurring thing. Also that station might be good to have inside.
-How many people can fit inside your VW competition
-Raffle (Figure out what vendors are willing to provide for prizes... could post them up on the website too once we find out)
-how low can you go (car limbo)

What other fun activities can we do that won't endanger anyone?

Another trivia idea
take 5-6 random parts and put them on a table... the object is the spectators have to guess what the part is and what car is fits on... there could be multiple answers for this but it's very do-able.

I like the parts idea. Thought of doing that in one of my project threads as I came across stuff.

My fiance suggested a scavenger hunt... a very specific one... she said using License plates to validate correct answers, and I thought it a great idea. then we only really need to check the first 10-15 people who come to us with the answers... prizes could be t-shirts from last year... maybe some other stuff?

Spectator judging can be an activity... They'll be judging "ugliest" car or "nicest color"... those ones can be posted online later on... maybe the winners of each category can get a t-shirt or some cheap trophy or something. it would be a fun activity any man/woman/child would like to do. and it's something we could tally up after the event at our leisure and post the results on the website. also limit it to like 10 or so...

Regarding traffic cones.... I have a better idea than using the heavy as hell cement option. Bolt them down to a sheet (1/2 sheet?) of plywood. Do we still have that really thin plywood from last year's show? I can reinforce it with 2x4's. Other option is a pile of landscaping timber that I have sitting around.

there must be something fun that people can't hurt themselves doing... what about a dunk tank? volunteers can be dunked?
What about the "name this part" table? that's pretty easy... How about the same concept except we blindfold someone and we hand them a part and they have to tell us what it is based on touch... I dunno... I am running out of ideas... the cramming of a bug is still going on right? do we have a volunteer for their car? What about doing a "mark the wolfsgart ride"... we get an old beater and have people write on it or paint on it or something... beater car, flat black, and chalk... then after the show, we take pictures of it, then wash it for next year... I LOVE that idea.

Was the tire toss... was told we can't do that.

What happened with the tire changing thing?
