I've caught the Porsche bug so this has to go. All worked over by Bill Schimmel of spturbo.com. Still wrapped from pick-up, head not attached to block so you can inspect it all. Started with a spotless block from Arizona so it's about as clean as you'll find.

Engine block is bored, honed(wplate), decked and hot tanked.
Crank is polished, rings are filed, clearances checked and assembled.

Large 3.0L 83.5mm bore
Wossner 8.5:1 forged turbo pistons (9:1 with mk4 gasket)
Schimmel h-beam rods
ARP head studs
ARP rod bolts
ARP main studs
ARP exhaust studs
Bildon crank scraper on mains
New chains/guides/tensioners
New bearings of course
All gasket surfaces cleaned/trued

Port and polish head with big, undercut valves. Has airpump hole for obd1 or obd2 compatability.
Titanium retainers
HD springs
New guides, stem viton stem seals for E85... the works.

New mk4 gasket included for 9:1 assembled compression. Both timing covers were matched when trued. New front and rear main seal included, uninstalled.

Retail for the naked tallblock without the installation parts (chains/tensioners/gaskets/seals) is ~$6200 from Bill. I have far more into this. My sale price is $5500 which is more than $1000 off. I will not split this up, ever so don't ask. Cash only, no trades. Will come with receipt from Schimmel for the machine work and a crisp brand new SPTurbo T-shirt that you can only get with one of his engines. Located in Barre, VT.

I would offer you the GTi plus cash, but that would likely result in you losing the investment you made on an engagement ring.

That is why he bought to Porsche in the first place, but then decided to keep it "original"...

that isn't normal? from coffee to getting backout drunk to drinking water from a booze bottle, that's how i do it.
