The activity on the forums has been slow as of late. I am unsure how effective facebook is for having conversations vs. the forums (I am bias towards the forums as the preferred method of sharing organized content).

So... The question.

Keep or kill the forums?

If we kill the forums, all the content will be deleted.

If we retain, we will continue paying hosting cost of $60 per year.

Thoughts?

Yes. We can archive the forums (both structure and content), but I would delete the forums from the hosting site.

I'm a reluctant Facebook hobbyist... But you could hear a mouse fart in here. I say keep another yr or two. See how it goes...

I'm not a fan of facebook, and much prefer forums since I can come in and see content I care to see rather than what folks ate for dinner....but yes, this place is pretty dead. Bummer as I miss seeing other folks projects progress

There is software out there that is combo forums and easier photo uploads. Some other forums you have used might have this feature.

I've been out of everything for a few years, but have had a few life changes that will probably bring me back around.

Hardly think I have enough clout to be worth a serious vote, but I'd rather see the forums stick around. I don't have (or want) a facebook account.

So far we have 5 people that use the forums.... no responses from the FB crowd.

Hmmmmmm.....

DN needs some CPR.

I rarely visit any forums anymore, this one included. I feel like maybe the FB DN receives more traffic but not much. i agree maybe keep for another year?

Hate to see it go, but I don't really utalize it anymore, it would really put the noose to the club in my eyes...

I poke around once and a while, not much to add tho. seems like most forums have slowed a lot in the last year or so
